Full-Motion VCC technology

The acronym VCC (Variable Capacitive Compressor) is used to describe variable-speed compressors. In refrigeration, we commonly find hermetic piston compressors (equipped with an inverter), with capacities up to 16cc designed to manage natural refrigerants, such as R-290 and R-600.

The iJ range runs Full-Motion VCC compressors. The thermostat determines the compressor speed depending on the cooling demand of the unit. This maximises energy savings and ensures optimal temperature stability.

The chart below illustrates how compressor speed management using the CAREL iJ controllers achieves much more stable regulation.

This prevents the compressor from switching on and off continuously, reducing energy consumption and noise and prolonging the service life of the compressor.
