Dryers

Dryers

  • General characteristics

Compressed air is used for various needs in different applications:

from jets of air in small artisan workshops, to sterile, absolutely dry and oil-free air for the pharmaceuticals, food, process and luxury goods industries.

The equipment used to generate dry compressed air includes refrigerated air dryers. By cooling the compressed air to almost freezing point, any water vapour and oil in the air condense. The two main cost factors relating to this process are energy consumption and the need to compensate for any compressed air losses.

Compared to other technological solutions, refrigerated air dryers offer the following benefits:

    • low upfront investment
    • relatively low running costs
    • low maintenance costs
